Osteoarthritis

The most common cause of chronic joint pain is osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis isn’t caused by normal wear and tear but results from damage and breakdown to cartilage and other tissues in the in joint due to stress factors such as obesity, nutritional deficiencies, injury, overuse and repetitive movement.  Left untreated, osteoarthritis continues to progress to a point where total joint replacement is the recommended solution.  Typical recovery time from knee replacement surgery is six months to a year. Replacement joints have a lifespan of ten to fifteen years.

We have several tools to address osteoarthritis, hopefully eliminating the need to ever require surgery:

- PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to regenerate and repair damaged tissue.

- Chiropractic

- Physical Therapy

- Low level laser therapy to eliminate pain and promote healing of damaged tissue

- Nutritional support
